Beneficiários do auxílio-doença – atualmente chamado de benefício por incapacidade temporária – do Instituto Nacional do Seguro Social (INSS) podem solicitar a prorrogação automática e sem necessidade de perícia médica presencial do auxílio até o dia 30 de junho, próximo domingo.

O pedido pode ser feito pelo aplicativo ou site Meu INSS, por meio do Atestmed, sistema do governo federal que permite a análise documental dos requerimentos, sem necessidade de perícia médica, concedendo mais rapidamente os benefícios do INSS.

A prorrogação pelo sistema foi aprovada em outubro do ano passado, com objetivo de facilitar a renovação do auxílio de quem está afastado, recebendo o benefício e que ainda não esteja apto a retornar ao trabalho. A medida valeria até abril deste ano, mas foi prorrogada até 30 de junho.

O pedido de prorrogação automática deve ser feito pelo menos 15 dias antes do fim do atestado médico e ter passado por perícia médica presencial anteriormente.

A portaria do INSS ainda informa que a prorrogação pode ser solicitada a cada 30 dias, quantas vezes for necessária, se o trabalhador ainda estiver doente.

Vale reforçar que para uso do Atestmed não há limitação territorial ou prazo mínimo de espera por agendamento de perícia. Qualquer segurado pode pedir, inclusive aqueles que já têm uma perícia presencial marcada.

Caso não seja possível conceder o benefício pela conformação dos documentos médicos ou odontológicos, será indicado ao cidadão que agende uma perícia presencial. O benefício não será indeferido com base exclusivamente na análise documental.
